New gym brings fresh approach & energy to Yandina
Yoga instructor Dannielle Ball, left, with owner Donna Key: “I wanted to create a gym that reflects everything I’ve learned – about mindset, support, and what actually works long term”.
Business Feature: Create Fitness Collective
A new boutique gym in the heart of Yandina is reshaping the way people think about fitness—and it’s striking a powerful chord with the local community.
Founded by long-time trainer and passionate health advocate Donna Key, Create Fitness Collective is more than just a place to work out. It’s a thoughtfully curated space built on connection, confidence and the belief that movement should be something we enjoy – not endure.
“When people walk through the door, they’re not just here to exercise – they’re here to feel better, build strength, and take ownership of their wellbeing,” Donna says. “Create was designed to meet people where they’re at, and grow with them over time. There’s no pressure to perform here. Just support, progress, and purpose.”
From the moment you step inside, the difference is clear. Create offers premium training zones, open gym access, an infrared sauna, complimentary amenities including filtered hydrogen-rich water, and smartphone-enabled entry – yet it’s the atmosphere that truly sets it apart.
“This isn’t about intimidating equipment or comparison. It’s about creating an uplifting space where people feel welcome, capable, and seen,” Donna explains. “Whether you’re new to fitness, recovering from injury, or working toward high-performance goals, we’ve built a culture that encourages progress at your pace – with expert guidance always close by.”
Donna’s own journey – from corporate finance to certified health coach, strength and conditioning trainer, endurance sports competitor, and breathwork instructor – fuels her holistic, human-first approach.
“I’ve learned that sustainable fitness is about far more than just reps and results. It’s mindset, structure, and support. That’s why Create isn’t just a gym – it’s a collective. A collective of modalities and our community.
In addition to its group classes and gym floor, Create will host regular workshops, challenges, and community events to help members stay accountable and inspired.
“Fitness should feel fun again,” Donna says.
“That’s when it sticks – when people feel like they belong, and when movement adds something positive to their life.”
Whether you’re lifting weights or lifting your energy, Create Fitness Collective invites you to experience what’s possible when strength meets intention.
Fitness that feels like fun again: Classes to support every body
Create Fitness Collective’s class schedule is designed with real life in mind – supporting people at every stage of fitness, with sessions that are varied, inclusive, and thoughtfully programmed.
“We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach,” says Donna. “Our timetable reflects our members’ real goals and rhythms – whether they’re building strength, moving for energy, or seeking calm and clarity.”
The class lineup includes Forge group strength, Engine endurance and conditioning, Mobility & Stretch, and a variety of Yoga for beginners to advanced, with guided Breathwork sessions launching soon. Nutritional support is also available for those looking to build sustainable habits around food, energy, and recovery.
Each class is led by experienced, caring instructors who tailor every session to the individual.
“Our yoga teacher Dannielle Ball brings a beautiful, grounded energy to our space,” says Donna. “Her classes aren’t about performance – they’re about reconnecting with your body and creating space for stillness.”
“I truly believe yoga is for every body,” says Dannielle. “My classes combine mindful movement, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation to help strengthen the mind-body connection and cultivate inner peace.”
Whether you’re lifting heavy, stretching deeply, or simply taking time to reset – Create’s approach to movement, recovery, and wellness helps you feel stronger in every part of your life.
