Crochet a Daffodil and Support Cancer Council this Daffodil Day
Crochet Australia’s Lynda Tomkins “Each daffodil represents hope—and every stitch helps fund life-saving work.”
This year Daffodil Day will be on Thursday, August 21, and is the Cancer Council’s iconic fundraising event, symbolizing hope for a cancer-free future. Funds raised support world-class research, prevention programs, and support services for those affected by cancer.
This August, creativity meets compassion in a nationwide fundraising effort to support the Cancer Council. Sunshine Coast based business, Crochet Australia, is proud to announce a special campaign, Crochet a Daffodil for Daffodil Day, inviting crocheters across the country to craft daffodils and help raise vital funds for cancer research and support services.
“We’re calling on the incredible crochet community to pick up their hooks and join us in making a difference,” said Lynda Tomkins, Owner at Crochet Australia. “Each daffodil
represents hope—and every stitch helps fund life-saving work. So let’s brighten up someone’s day with crochet daffodils.”
The initiative centres around a beautiful crochet daffodil designed by Lynda and available for purchase at Crochet Australia. Every pattern sold during August will contribute to a fundraising target of $5000, with 100% of proceeds donated to Cancer Council. Crochet Australia specialising in all things crochet – yarns, patterns, hooks, classes and tools – to crocheters all over the country.
