Drum therapy training to bring healing rhythm to Nambour

A counsellor and award-winning business mum will bring Rhythm2Recovery training to Nambour, helping local professionals explore how rhythm, connection and group support can improve wellbeing.

Rebecca Rylands, 42, is a mum of three who moved to Australia from New Zealand 10 years ago and built a counselling and drum therapy business from her background as a registered music teacher and counsellor.

Her work focuses on the emotional disconnection that can follow trauma, stress and major life changes.

Through counselling and Rhythm2Recovery programs, Ms Rylands helps people move from isolation to connection, using conversation, rhythm and group support to restore wellbeing.

Having overcome her own experience of birth trauma, Ms Rylands combines professional expertise with personal empathy to create spaces where people can heal, reconnect and rediscover their sense of self.

Her work was recognised last year when she received third place in Wellness Services at the AusMumpreneur Awards.

Ms Rylands said she was proud of what she had achieved in the past 12 months, including leading drumming-based therapeutic group sessions in educational settings, delivering Rhythm2Recovery facilitator training across rural Queensland and serving as Research Coordinator for Rhythm2Recovery International.

She encouraged other women thinking about starting their own enterprise to trust themselves.

“Trust your unique rhythm, let your intuition guide your work, and make self-care your business’s greatest strategy because the strongest foundations are built when you put your wellbeing first and let your joy lead the way,” she said.
