Fish ladder clears flood test

A new fish ladder built by Sunshine Coast Council upstream from Quota Park has survived last month’s flooding and will continue helping fish move and breed upstream in Petrie Creek, as fish did before Quota Weir was built last century.

BushCare Sunshine Coast Group Leader Norm Morwood said volunteers would return to the creek banks, about a couple of hundred metres downstream, today (Wednesday April 22) from 8am to continue clearing exotic weeds and caring for the bush.
