Nambour women’s gym recognised at Sunshine Coast Community Gala & Awards

Fit Kat founder, Kat Wilkinson “this recognition means the world to us”.

Nambour’s own FitKat Bootcamp was named a Finalist in the Women’s Empowerment Award category at the Sunshine Coast Community Gala & Awards 2025 last Friday.

The awards are sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Council and came about to recognise those individuals, groups, and organisations quietly making a powerful impact on the Sunshine Coast.

Fit Kat offers fitness training for women, fusing the traditional bootcamp with boxing, strength and cardio training. With the option of one-on-one personal training sessions or group fitness classes, Fit Kat offers a tailored approach to meet your fitness goals, from a beginner level to advanced.

Fit Kat founder, Kat Wilkinson was thrilled with the announcement.

“To be recognised for empowering women and building a community where every woman feels strong, supported, and unstoppable means the absolute world to us,” she said.

“I really want to say a massive thank you to our Fit Kat family, every single one of you who shows up, supports one another, and helps make this place so special.”

The awards night will be held on Saturday, November 1 at the Sunshine Coast Function Centre in Caloundra.

“We can’t wait to celebrate with so many amazing local legends on the night, and hope we can bring the award home for our Fit Kat fam.”
