Gallery: Full house for seniors’ movie morning in Nambour
Nicole Teichmann from Dovida, Community Bank Woombye & Districts Branch Manager Hayley Saunders, Nicklin MP Marty Hunt and Jill Kuramoto from the Community Bank welcomed visitors to the movie screening.
It was standing room only at Nambour Cinemas this morning as 250 locals turned out for Nicklin MP Marty Hunt’s special Seniors Month screening of The Travellers. The free movie morning, hosted by Mr Hunt in partnership with major sponsors Community Bank Woombye & Districts, Dovida, and Nambour RSL, was a sell-out event celebrating the contribution of seniors in the community.
Attendees enjoyed gifts from Community Bank Woombye’s Hayley Saunders, Milo Frawley, and Jill Kuramoto, while Dovida’s Client Development Consultant Nicole Teichmann was on hand to share information about the company’s range of home care services “designed to add life to your years.”
Mr Hunt said the morning was a chance to recognise the valuable role seniors play. “It’s a chance to celebrate the contributions seniors make with a relaxed morning at the movies,” he said.
The event ended with plenty of smiles and a strong sense of community spirit.
