Volunteer earns recognition for community work

Meet Grant Palethorpe  (pictured right with Nicklin MP Marty Hunt)  –   a quiet achiever with a big heart for Woombye.

For six consecutive years, Grant served as Vice President of the Woombye Community & Business Association, always choosing to work behind-the-scenes because that’s where he says he can make the biggest difference.

He’s called Woombye home for over 50 years and has poured his passion into preserving its history, guiding its future through town planning, and supporting countless community initiatives.

“Grant’s dedication still shapes the community today,” said Nicklin MP Marty Hunt while presenting the award. “Well done Grant and thank you.”
