One day could save a life – Grey Medallion
Moving to the Coast, relaxing at the beach or by the pool, paddling your kayak or a day out fishing is part of the dream.
But if an emergency happens, would you know what to do?
The Grey Medallion® is a free one-day Royal Life Saving Society course is run by trainers and lifesavers from Ithaca Caloundra City Life Saving Club.
The one-day Grey Medallion® includes how to spot a rip, perform CPR, use a defibrillator, water familiarisation and supervising children around water, responding to marine stings, and carrying out simple dry rescues.
The Grey Medallion® is especially valuable for new Australians and people new to the Coast. It isn’t a swimming course, but it’s designed to build skills and confidence to respond to emergencies on land or around water, as well as everyday water safety awareness.
