Plumbing business thriving as demand for local service grows

Hardy & Sons Plumbing is proof that local trust, honest advice and strong community ties still go a long way in Nambour.

Business owner Andrew Hardy told this week’s Nambour Chamber of Commerce gathering that the family-run plumbing company has grown rapidly since launching just over a year ago — and is now employing four full-time tradesmen and two apprentices.

“I started Hardy & Sons Plumbing with my wife Cyndi here in order to provide Nambour with a local option for a high quality and trusted plumbing service,” Mr Hardy said. “People love the fact that I give honest advice and they love Cyndi’s friendly and genuine customer service.”

The business, which is based in the centre of town, offers a full suite of domestic and commercial plumbing services, including jetting, leak detection, drain camera inspections, gas fitting and 24/7 emergency call-outs.

Mr Hardy said the team had recently welcomed experienced plumber Ben Perren. “Ben’s institutional knowledge of Nambour and extensive trade qualifications are a huge asset to our team this year.”

Mr Hardy was also proud to be investing in the industry’s future. “We’ve also brought on two young local lads as plumbing apprentices, so safeguarding for the next generation.”

The business prides itself on its community-first approach. “We’re committed to supporting our local community around us by preferencing hinterland businesses in all of our operations.”

Limiting their service area to Nambour and surrounds, the team can respond quickly and maintain strong customer relationships. “To have a familiar face that you can trust, rely upon and build a long-term relationship with” is what customers appreciate most, Mr Hardy said.
