Kairos Community College announces Nambour campus Open Day
The Kairos team support young people who have struggled in mainstream education.
Kairos Community College is proud to invite prospective students, families, and the Sunshine Coast community to the Nambour Campus Open Day on 29 May 2026.
This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the college’s individualised approach to education and meet the dedicated team supporting young people in the region.
The Open Day will be held from 11.00am to 12.30pm at the current temporary campus located at 66-68 Currie Street, Nambour. Attendees will learn about the “Kairos difference” which provides a fee-free, caring, and inclusive environment for Year 10, 11, and 12 students who have struggled in mainstream education.
While the Nambour campus successfully commenced operations in its temporary Currie Street location in January 2026, the college is already looking toward a permanent future. Construction is currently progressing on a purpose-built facility at 32 Coronation Avenue, Nambour. This new, state-of-the-art campus is scheduled for completion in 2027, representing a significant investment in the long-term educational outcomes of local youth.
“At Kairos Nambour, we believe every young person deserves an environment where they feel seen
and supported,” says Kairos Nambour Head of Campus, Tim Robinson. “Our campus provides a permanent, inclusive space where students can reengage with, or even find their passion for learning, and find a clear path forward.”
The Open Day welcomes parents, carers, and a wide range of referrers, including Guidance Officers and school counsellors, Youth Workers and Case Managers, psychologists and medical specialists, and Occupational Therapists.
Light refreshments will be provided on the day. Interested parties are encouraged to register their attendance via the official website to assist with catering and tours.
