Kelly Cork brings new album to Mapleton, Maleny
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Kelly Cork will perform in Mapleton and Maleny this June as part of the launch tour for his fifth studio album, Love & Denial.
Known for his quietly powerful songwriting and grounded storytelling, Mr Cork will appear at the Mapleton Bowls Club on June 7 alongside Kevin Bennett and The Sunny Coast Band, and at Maleny’s Unplugged in the Chapel on June 8 with Mr Bennett and Jacob Vincent.
Described as a lyrical journey through love, memory and ageing, Love & Denial blends folk and country sensibilities with emotional honesty.
“The album’s about the distance we travel from youth to arthritis, and the beautiful souls we meet along the way,” Mr Cork said.
The title track explores the fragility of love and memory, while “To Feel The Sun”, co-written with Mr Bennett, reflects on what truly matters in life.
From tender ballads to upbeat, genre-bending tracks like “Pinkenba Tex”, Love & Denial is earning praise as one of Mr Cork’s most accomplished works to date.
The album is now streaming on major platforms and available at
