Live music with a message at Nambour

Live music with a faith-based message will return to Nambour next month when Live at the Chapel hosts another free evening at Ignite Church Auditorium.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 3 from 6pm at 29 Short Street, Nambour, with Sunshine Coast group True North headlining and Christian rock project Soulchase providing support.

Hosted by Ignite Church Nambour and presented by Aussie Grown Radio, Live at the Chapel is a monthly, family-friendly event showcasing Christian artists. True North was formed nearly 10 years ago by Pablo Doglio, Valeria Woodley and Johnny Dauwane after the trio served together in a Sunshine Coast gospel ensemble.

The group performs original songs and gospel favourites, with a focus on worship, outreach and community.

Support act Soulchase is led by singer and songwriter Nick Reeve, who previously fronted 2000s rock band Hammerhead and shared festival and touring stages with acts including Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper, The Screaming Jets and The Choirboys.

Mr Reeve moved into Christian music with the release of his 2014 album Breathe Life. Entry is free, with donations accepted to support the artists. Drinks and nibbles will also be available for purchase.
