Biennial Quilt show returns to Maleny Showgrounds Pavilion this September
The much anticipated event, the Maleny Arts and Crafts Group (MACG) Biennial Quilt Show is being held once again at the Maleny Showgrounds Pavilion on Saturday September 12 from 9am to 4pm, and Sunday September 13 from 9am to 3pm.
“This year the show will be better than ever,” said a club spokeswoman.
“We will have a trader's alley, bag pod, a sales table for handmade goodies, raffles and light refreshments available for purchase, along with an amazing display of beautiful handmade quilts made by the quilters of Maleny Arts and Crafts Group.
“Our raffle will be drawn on the Sunday afternoon, and as always, it offers great prizes including a quilt made by a MACG member, a Bernina sewing machine which has been kindly donated by Kimz Sewing Centre and Bernina, and a Japanese fabric pack.”
The popular handmade quilt exhibition always draws a huge crowd of sewing and quilting enthusiasts who appreciate the skill, care and workmanship that is poured into each and every quilt.
“This year we will also be holding a members quilt challenge, which should also be a lot of fun,” she said.
The Quilt Show will be held in the Main Pavilion, Maleny Showgrounds, 13 Maleny-Stanley River Road, Maleny. Admission will be $5.00, and there is plenty of parking onsite.
