Young women step forward for Showgirl & Rural Ambassador
The Maleny Show Society proudly held the first round of judging for its 2025 Showgirl and Rural Ambassador Competition on Saturday (May 10). Four outstanding young women stepped forward as candidates, each demonstrating a strong commitment to community, agriculture, and the spirit of the show.
The contestants are:
• Trinity Knezevic, who aspires to bridge the gap between rural communities and urban populations by educating people about the origins of their food.
• Ellie Jennings, whose goal is to be a positive role model for the Maleny Show and who dreams of becoming an agricultural teacher.
• Georgia Nicholson, a passionate horsewoman dedicated to helping young people understand the vital role agriculture plays in society.
• Cheeky Hopper, who aims to engage youth with agricultural shows through the power of social media and hands-on involvement.
These impressive candidates will take on a variety of ambassadorial roles during the 2025 Maleny Show, which takes place on Friday, 30th May and Saturday, 31st May. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet them and witness their enthusiasm and dedication to the show community firsthand.
The Maleny Show Society is proud to support the next generation of rural leaders and looks forward to an exciting competition ahead.
