All roads lead to Nambour for the annual Swap

With the Show and Garden Expo done and dusted, it will be time for one of Nambour’s best-loved traditions – the Nambour Swap.

Returning to the Showgrounds on Saturday 26 July from 6am to noon, this annual fundraiser from the Sunshine Coast Antique Car Club draws crowds and collectors from across the region, with hundreds of swap sites booked and plenty more on offer. From rare car parts to quirky collectables, if it can be recycled, repurposed or restored, you’ll find it at the Swap.

The Antique Car Club, is a not-for-profit organization, which supports local charities through donations, provides car displays, entertains those with disabilities and makes visits to aged care facilities.

The Nambour Swap is the Club’s major fundraiser each year and again they are aiming for a ‘bumper’ of an event. Hundreds of swap sites are already pre-booked but there are casual sites available for those who wish to swap some of their ‘spare’ wares, too.

While the focus is on cars, vendors are welcome to sell almost anything recyclable, collectable, decorative and/or convertible.

There will be a range of food and coffee vendors on site so people may ‘charge their batteries’ during the morning. Enter via the main entrance to the Nambour Showgrounds and the Crusher Park Drive or Bli Bli gates will open to the public at 6am, $5 entry. See our Swap Meet link on our website: scacc.org.au for further details or phone 0472 596 973.
