A senior athlete from Nambour’s Sunshine Coast Gymnastics Academy has represented Queensland at the 2025 Australian Gymnastics Championships and returned home with gold and bronze medals.

Selected in the Queensland Women’s Level 10 Team, Ayesha Youlten, competed in the two-day championship event, held at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, showcasing her skill and composure on a national stage.

On Day One, she helped lead Queensland to a Gold medal finish in the team event. On Day Two, competing individually, Ayesha placed third on beam and third overall, an impressive result among Australia’s top gymnasts.

“Ayesha is a dedicated athlete who leads by example,” said Head Coach Rimma Lazarus. “She continues to be a role model to our younger gymnasts and consistently represents our club with pride and professionalism.”

Sunshine Coast Gymnastics Academy offers a wide range of programs for all ages and abilities — from recreational and competitive gymnastics to adult classes and KinderGym. The club is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every athlete can thrive.
