Hair stylist to bring Milan’s latest hair trends home to Nambour

International flavours, fashion and fun were on the agenda when Nambour’s own Rhonda Billett joined 3000 hairdressers from 29 countries at a spectacular four-day Goldwell Colour Sphere event in Milan – the fashion capital of the world.

Owner of Uptown Hair Studio, Ms Billett was one of only 50 Australian stylists to attend the global gathering.

“We have used and recommended Goldwell hair colours and products for over 25 years at Uptown Hair Studio,” she said. “The brand have provided me with so much fashion and business education over the years, but this event was next level, travelling to Italy and being in Milan.”

Ms Billett said staying at the forefront of global trends was vital.

“In the billion-dollar hair and beauty industry, hair products evolve, innovation and technology play their part and that is why, in the fast-paced world we now live in, it’s important to keep up with the global industry standards, influences and trends,” she said.

“Seeing and being educated by international hairdressers from all around the globe, hearing the latest hair trends and ideas was the highlight for me. You can see and learn things online, but getting involved and being hands-on, face-to-face with global educators elevates your knowledge so much more.”

Ms Billett said Australia’s coming Spring/Summer trends would include soft colour work, blonde hair tones, cashmere blondes and buttery subtle highlights.

“I’ve met with many global hair leaders at this Milan event, grasped all of the latest trends and hair styles and now we can implement those trends in our hair studio here in Australia – making customers not only look good but feel great too.”
