Ride on mini trains; best value family day out on the Sunny Coast
The miniature trains will be running again in Nambour on Sunday March 22 from 10am to 2.30pm at the mini rail park at 1 Florence Street, Nambour.
Steam, battery and petrol locomotives will haul the trains around 1 km of tracks and visitors can ride on just one train or try riding on everyone of the different trains (locos permitting).
There is plenty of parking 100 metres away at the QR railway station car park and a sausage sizzle and cold drinks.
Plus the railway is small dog friendly. Enclosed shoes must be worn to ride on the trains so no thongs or footwear where the toes or foot is exposed.
It is $3 for one ride, 6 rides for $15 or 20 rides for $50. Children aged 4 years and under ride free when travelling with a fare paying adult.
A reminder that these are miniature trains and our locos do have weight limits as to the load they can haul.
