Nambour shines at netball titles
Nambour & Districts Netball Association (N&DNA) are celebrating the outstanding performances of its Senior Representative teams at the 2025 Senior State Age Championships.
The April 12 to 15 event at Ipswich Netball Association attracted 210 teams from around Queensland for four days of competition.
The N&DNA 15s secured 3rd place out of 19 teams in their division with an impressive record of 14 wins and 1 draw.
“These girls absolutely smashed it in their first year as Senior Rep players,” said Trish Spencer, N&DNA Rep Convenor. “They were electric on court and their enthusiasm and team spirit were infectious.”
Guided by head coach Amity Salisbury and assistant coach Ashlee Spencer, the team’s success was a testament to their leadership and the players’ dedication.
The 18 & Under team also showcased resilience and teamwork, finishing 12th out of 18 teams with 7 wins and 1 draw. “Our 18s really pulled together at State Age and brought such energy to the court,” said Mrs Spencer. “Huge credit goes to coach Lynne Hetherington for creating a positive, fun environment where the players could shine.”
Special recognition was given to Umpire Convenor Samantha Byrne and guest umpire Neve Johnson for their professionalism and dedication in officiating the matches.
