Nambour Toads building for the future of rugby
Rugby is thriving in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, and the Nambour Toads are leading the charge. With a proud country club spirit and deep community roots, the Toads continue to grow from strength to strength — on and off the field.
The club’s junior program has been a particular highlight, developing rapidly over recent seasons. From the Under 6s through to the Colts, participation is on the rise, driven by dedicated coaches, supportive families, and a strong emphasis on fun, teamwork, and skill development. The future of Nambour rugby is bright, and the next generation of Toads are already making their mark.
Women’s rugby has also flourished at the club, with participation at an all-time high. The Toads’ women’s program provides a welcoming and supportive environment for players of all skill levels — whether returning to the game or picking up a rugby ball for the first time.
As the 2026 season approaches, the Nambour Toads are calling for new players across all grades — from Under 6s right through to senior men’s and women’s teams. The club is also on the lookout for volunteers, whose time and enthusiasm are vital in helping the Toads continue to grow and thrive.
With the Rugby World Cup coming to Australia in 2027, there’s never been a better time to get involved in the game. Rugby excitement is building across the nation — and right here in our own backyard, the Nambour Toads are ready to welcome new faces into their friendly, family-orientated club.
Pre-season fun kicks off in December 2025 with Toad Tag, a social, non-contact version of rugby that’s perfect for everyone — players, parents, and newcomers alike.
So whether you’re looking to play, coach, volunteer, or simply be part of a great community club, come join the Toads family. Because at Nambour Rugby, there’s a place for everyone — and the future is looking bright in green and gold.
