Call to help Palmwoods’ family after serious accident
On Thursday June 19, Palmwoods teenager, Will Woodcroft was involved in a serious accident that resulted in him being transported to a Brisbane hospital, where he was in a coma at time of writing.
In the spirit of the Palmwoods community, Palmwoods P&C President, Jack Gaffney has set up a GoFundMe page to assist the family.
“Many of the Palmwoods community will know Lauren Woodcroft and her beautiful family, Pete, Lilly and Will,” Jack said.
“They have been a cherished part of our community for many years. Whether it’s helping at local events, supporting fundraisers, or simply being there when someone needs a hand, Lauren is always the first to show up for others.
“Now they are living every parent’s worst nightmare, and are facing an incredibly difficult time.
“The family is by Will’s side, where they need to be, and where they’ll likely remain for at least the next couple of weeks,” he said.
“We can’t ease their heartbreak, but we can help lift the weight of everyday worries — things like meals, accommodation, bills, and being able to stay together without the added stress of financial pressure.
“A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the Woodcrofts through this time. If you’re in a position to give, your generosity will make a real difference. And if you can’t donate right now, simply sharing the link helps too. Even small donations will be greatly appreciated.
“This family has given so much to our community. Let’s show them that in their darkest moment, they’re not alone — we’re here with them.”
