Salvos have Christmas all wrapped up at Plaza

Lyn and Kel were on duty on Friday afternoon

Salvation Army volunteers are adding some cheer to the Christmas rush at Nambour Plaza, offering a gift-wrapping service that doubles as a fundraiser for locals doing it tough.

Shoppers were having their presents wrapped by Salvos volunteers Lyn and Kel, pictured, who were on duty on Friday afternoon, with all donations going directly to people in need across the community.

The service gives residents an easy way to donate while ticking off their holiday to-do list. Nambour Plaza said it was pleased to partner with the Salvation Army again this year, noting the wrapping station had become a simple but meaningful way for shoppers to make a difference.

Gift-wrapping is by gold coin donation and will continue through the Christmas period.
