Nambour Trivia Night to support local children’s education

The St Vincent de Paul Family Support Centre in Nambour is hosting a fun-filled Trivia Night on Saturday 17 October, to raise funds to help local families with the education expenses of their children.

The Family Support Centre is run by a dedicated team of around 20 volunteers who provide emergency relief to families experiencing difficult times. But their support doesn’t stop there. The volunteers are committed to helping children access the educational opportunities they need, including assistance with essential school expenses.

“As you can imagine, it is extremely difficult for a family living on benefits to provide fully for a good educational outcome for their children,” said St Vincent’s volunteer, Chris Gilmore.

“There will be lots of fantastic raffle prizes, loads of laughs and fun at the Trivia Night. Invite your friends, relatives and work mates to join you in a team to test your trivia knowledge and have a good night out. Every dollar raised will help the Vinnies Family Support Centre provide assistance to local children and families with education expenses.”

Local businesses are also encouraged to get involved by donating a prize for the raffle or gathering a team of friends, family or colleagues to come along for a great night run by Sunshine Coast Trivia team. The Nambour RSL has been the first cab off the rank with a very generous donation ahead of the evening. Businesses that support the event with a prize will be acknowledged on the night.

The Trivia Night will be held at St Joseph’s School Hall, Reilly Road, Nambour, with doors opening at 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start. Bookings can be made through TryBooking https://www.trybooking.com/DPDOP
