Sunshine Coast Hose & Fittings owners Joel and Eloise Davis “Despite the expansion, maintaining personal service remains a priority.”
A Sunshine Coast family business that began with a single mobile service truck just three years ago has taken another major step forward, opening a fully equipped hydraulic hose workshop in Beerwah.
Sunshine Coast Hose & Fittings owners Joel and Eloise Davis have established the new facility at Unit 4/9–11 Creek Crescent, providing a permanent base for their expanding operation.
The move follows considerable growth since the couple purchased the established business in February 2023, initially operating with one truck providing mobile hydraulic hose repairs.
Today, the business has two fully equipped service vehicles and a workshop offering hose manufacturing, repairs, fittings and preventative maintenance.
Joel said the expansion reflected growing demand from customers across the Sunshine Coast and surrounding districts.
"When we started, our focus was on providing a reliable mobile service and building relationships with customers," Joel said.
"As the business grew, we could see the benefits of having a permanent workshop where people could bring equipment directly to us, as well as continuing our breakdown service."
The workshop provides walk-in repairs and in-house hose manufacturing, alongside the company's existing mobile operation.
Customers include operators in agriculture, construction, civil works, earthmoving, quarrying, transport and marine industries.
The company also supplies hydraulic and industrial fittings, fluid transfer, storage and metering equipment, and Gulf Western oils and products.
Joel, who has more than 18 years of industry experience, said the expanded facilities would help the business respond to customers' needs more efficiently.
"Every breakdown is different, but the common factor is that people want to get back to work as quickly as possible," he said.
"Having the workshop gives us another way to help, whether that's an urgent repair or maintenance that can prevent problems down the track."
The expansion is also a personal milestone for the couple, who are raising four children.
Before purchasing the business, Joel spent many years working away in the mining industry, while Eloise developed experience in office management and administration.
Eloise said establishing a permanent base in Beerwah was an important investment in their family's future.
"We've worked hard to grow the business, and having our own workshop is something we're really proud of," she said.
"It's exciting to see how far we've come in a relatively short time, particularly knowing we're building something here in our own community."
Despite the expansion, the couple say maintaining personal service remains a priority.
The company continues to provide 24-hour mobile breakdown support across the region, while the Beerwah workshop offers customers a convenient alternative for repairs and maintenance.
For Joel and Eloise, the next chapter is about building on the relationships and reputation that have helped the business grow.
