White’s IGA group triumphant at IGA National Awards
On Monday the 14th of July, the team from White’s IGA were thrilled to receive some of the highest accolades in the Independent Grocers Australia network for their Sunshine Coast stores.
Business owner Roz White said “We’re incredibly proud to share that White’s IGA Forest Glen has been named IGA National Medium Store of the Year 2025, along with national wins for our Deli and Dairy/Freezer departments. Over at Baringa, our talented crew also took out the National Large Bakery award.
“To say the team is excited would be a massive understatement. They show up every single day with care, consistency and a genuine love for what they do. This is a huge feather in their cap, and they’ve earned every bit of it.”
2025 has been a huge year for the White’s IGA Group, taking out a swag of awards at the State conference which was held in March, and with the completion of a massive renovation project on their Mooloolah Valley store.
“We are so grateful to our community for their support,” Ms White said.
“I would like to extend a huge thank you to them because it is their support that makes it all possible.
“And we are proud to work alongside our industry colleagues and suppliers; from the biggest companies in the world to the smallest, collectively working together to support and sustain Australian family enterprise through the independent supermarket network.
“We love being part of something that truly supports Sunshine Coast families and the wider community.”
The team spent three days in professional development on the Gold Coast at the National Conference ahead of the awards ceremony.
“It was wonderful to bring our team of managers together and to see their sense of pride and achievement,” said Ms White.
“To Michael and myself, our entire team is amazing, and we’re absolutely thrilled.”
