Old time dance moved from Kandanga Hall to Long Flat Hall from June 20

From Saturday June 20, the popular our Old Time Country Hall dances will be held at the Long Flat Hall at 705 Mary Valley Rd, Long Flat.

“The reason for moving to Long Flat is that the Kandanga Hall committee are having major issues with the floor, and have advised us that this is the best way to allow us to continue our love of social dancing in our communities,” said Cooloola Coast Dance Group organiser, Julie McPhail.

“Our live bands will still be playing and helping guests enjoy the social camaraderie through dance.”

The dances will start at 7pm and will run until 11pm.

“Entry is $12, and this covers the bands and hall hire costs,” she said.

“Tea and coffee will be available but it would be wonderful if patrons could bring a cup, and a share plate of goodies to support supper.

“As always, there will be plenty of raffles on the night, at just $1 per ticket. This is our way of giving a little back to our patrons,” she said.

“So please spread the word as we have been graciously welcomed to use the Long Flat Hall facilities.”
