Multicultural Fairy Festival to bring magic to Buderim Village Park
Families are invited to step into a world of imagination when the Multicultural Fairy Festival, presented by DC World Entertainment, arrives at Buderim Village Park on Sunday 6 September 2026.
This free community event promises a magical day filled with live music, creativity and family fun, encouraging visitors of all ages to embrace their imagination and come dressed as fairies, elves, bush spirits, forest guardians, little people or other fantasy-inspired characters.
Festival organiser Dominique B Cisse said the event celebrates the rich multicultural music, dance and cultural traditions that FESTURI has shared with the community for more than 25 years, while adding a magical fairy theme that inspires creativity, imagination and connection.
"Every culture has stories of magical beings, whether they are fairies, little people, forest guardians, bush spirits or nature spirits. The Multicultural Fairy Festival is about celebrating those traditions while bringing families together through music, creativity and imagination. It's a day to have fun, connect with one another and create wonderful memories."
Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a fantastic range of activities including live music, artisan market stalls, face painting, creative workshops, interactive experiences, giant bubbles, delicious food vendors and entertainment for the whole family.
One of the highlights of the festival will be two colourful community parades – the Multicultural Parade and the All Ages Fairy Fashion Parade. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to showcase their creativity by dressing in traditional cultural attire, fairy costumes, or magical characters inspired by nature, folklore or their own cultural heritage. With more than $200 in prizes to be won, everyone is invited to join the celebration and be part of the magic.
The Multicultural Fairy Festival celebrates the idea that stories of magical beings exist across the globe. From Celtic fairies and Pacific Island nature spirits to Asian folklore, African legends and Australian bush stories, the festival invites the community to discover the wonder found in cultures everywhere through music, creativity and storytelling.
Entry is free, making it a wonderful opportunity for families, grandparents and friends to enjoy a relaxing day outdoors in one of Buderim's most picturesque parks.
