Grant supports parish meals for people doing it tough

Nambour Community Foundation is proud to support the Anglican Parish of Nambour.

Two directors from the Nambour Community Foundation recently had the privilege of being invited by one of its 2025 Grant recipients to see their funding in action.

The Nambour Anglican Parish runs a weekly Friday Night Burgers initiative, providing a free meal to locals experiencing homelessness or doing it tough.

Last year the Nambour Community Foundation awarded a $5000 grant to support this incredible program over the next 12 months. “It was truly inspiring to witness the dedication of the church volunteers,” an NCF spokesperson said. “Not only serving hot meals and offering meaningful conversation, but also providing access to donated clothing and toiletries for those in need.”

“The spirit of NCF’s grants and the generosity that defines the Nambour community was on full display. The care, compassion and commitment of everyone involved was nothing short of remarkable.

“We are proud to support the Anglican Parish of Nambour and the vital work they do.”

The NCF Annual Grants Round runs from 1 June to 31 July. For more information on how to apply for a grant, or to become a Community Giving Partner and support the Foundation, please visit ncf.org.au.
