Step into a world where imagination comes to life

Hologram Zoo Sunshine Coast lets families pat tigers, walk beside dinosaurs, glide with crocodiles & more.

Parents are always on the lookout for something new to do with their kids – an experience that’s fun, affordable, and a little bit magical. Now, a cutting-edge attraction in the heart of Nambour is delivering just that.

Hologram Zoo Sunshine Coast lets families walk beside dinosaurs, glide with crocodiles, and swim under schools of sea creatures — all thanks to astonishing holographic technology. As you wander through tunnels and under a spectacular sky roof, life-sized animals appear so real you’ll instinctively want to reach out and touch them.

The concept comes from Queensland-based Axiom Holographics, whose groundbreaking tech was named Time Magazine’s Invention of the Year in 2023. Nambour licensee Claire Fawbert says bringing it to the Sunshine Coast felt like a perfect fit.

“We have young kids ourselves,” Claire said. “We loved the idea of combining education and entertainment in a way that sparks imagination. When we explored Nambour, the community was so welcoming – we knew this was where we wanted to create something truly special.”

Sessions run for around 40 minutes, with families choosing their adventure. There’s even a Dinosaur Experience add-on, plus a free take-home hologram gift for every child. The attraction is fully wheelchair-friendly and ideal for kids five and up.

“We want every visitor to walk out amazed,” Claire said. “It’s about creating memories and inspiring a sense of wonder.”
