Live music with a message returns to Nambour
A FREE night of live music will bring indie folk, hip-hop, rock and acoustic favourites to Nambour when Live at the Chapel returns next month.
Hosted by Ignite Church Nambour and presented by Aussie Grown Radio, the monthly family-friendly event will be held at Ignite Church Auditorium, 29 Short Street, Nambour, from 6pm on Saturday, September 5.
Headlining the night will be husband-and-wife duo Inia & Angela, who combine guitar and tambourine with a distinctive mix of indie folk, hip-hop, rock and spoken word.
Drawing on biblical themes and personal testimony, the pair have performed at churches, community venues and Christian music festivals during more than eight years of live ministry.
They also toured with Australian Christian band River Movement in 2025 and 2026, while their debut single, Unshaken, reached number one on Aussie Grown Radio’s Diamond Dozen 2025 chart.
Following their Nambour appearance, Inia & Angela will perform at the Love Northern Rivers Festival in Lismore from September 24 to 27.
Support act Next Decade features another husband-and-wife team, Kevin and Kylie, who bring decades of musical experience to their blend of secular and Christian songs.
Their repertoire ranges from Tina Turner and Missy Higgins to Taylor Swift and Pete Murray, combining Kylie’s vocals with Kevin’s acoustic guitar, looping and harmonies.
Admission is free, with donations accepted to support the performing artists. Drinks and nibbles will also be available for purchase.
Live at the Chapel is held on the first Saturday of each month.
