Spirit of cabaret comes to The Presynct this month

This September, the Precynct in Nambour will come alive with Moonlight Burlesque – a brand-new cabaret experience blending live music, dance, and a touch of old-school glamour.

Created by local singer Imogen Grace, and dancer Savanah Murphy, the show pairs powerful, soulful vocals with dazzling choreography in an intimate setting.

What began as an idea between two passionate performers has become a full-scale production designed to feel luxurious and fun.

“It’s been very exciting putting this show together,” Imogen said.

“We wanted to create something unique and this show is the perfect fit for a venue like The Presynct, which is itself a one-of-a-kind space.”

Audiences can expect a mix of music from artists such as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, the Arctic Monkeys, Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, and more – all performed with a fresh, electrifying twist.

The stylishly choreographed performances featuring local talents Lilly Omelaniuk, Tegan Plummer and Shakerha Nakita, blend an intoxicating mix of cheeky tease and timeless sophistication that only burlesque can deliver.

The evening will be rounded off with the laid back live jazz stylings of guitarist Stefan Unternahrer and Imogen Grace.

Moonlight Burlesque premieres this September 25th at Precynct, Nambour, doors open at 6pm.

“We have put together a night of entertainment that is classy, playful and a celebration of the timeless spirit of cabaret,” Imogen said.

“And we hope audiences enjoy watching it as much as we have loved preparing it.”
