Queen Street will switch into festive mode this month as local traders prepare for Nambour’s Twilight Christmas Shopping Trail on Thursday December 4 and Thursday December 11, from 4–7pm.
The two-night event will see businesses extend trading hours and activate the street with stalls, special offers, food trucks, live music and family-oriented activities. Footpaths are expected to be busy as shops bring their products outdoors to create an informal Christmas market atmosphere.
Rogues Gallery’s Ali Atkinson said the initiative was part celebration and part statement. “No matter what’s going on in the world … we can still choose to come together and support each other,” she said. “Small businesses provide for the people of Nambour, but we need the community to support us.”
Dozens of traders will take part across the two evenings, reflecting a shared push to revive the old Thursday night shopping tradition and give locals another reason to spend time in the CBD.
