Palmwoods Little Village Theatre presents ‘Those Were the Days’

Palmwoods Little Village Theatre members continue to rock the roof of the Palmwoods Guide Hut every Monday morning with enthusiastic rehearsals for their 2026 show 'Those Were the Days'.

Remember big cars, memorable music, swirling skirts, Brylcream and fast food?

Who doesn't? In 'Those Were The Days', audiences will step back in time to the 1950s, 60s, and 70s era of rock and roll, milkshakes at the diner, Saturday night hops and larger than life rock stars.

Musical Director Marji Murray said: “It’s not every day you get to relive your younger days, and there's nothing like the songs of the times to put an extra little spring in your step. It’s no wonder we call our Mondays ‘Fundays’.

'Those Were The Days' will be performed on 25 and 26 July at the Little Village Theatre's usual venue, the Palmwoods Guide Hut. Bookings will open in June.

The year continues to be a busy one for Little Village Theatre members, as they join Palmwoods Little Village Choir in the series of popular singalongs at the Guide Hut over coming months. Entry costs just $10, and a light afternoon tea is provided.

On Sunday June 21 come along to Singalong Sunday, the theme is ‘Love Is In The Air’, and on Sunday December 13, Singalong Sunday will feature ‘Songs Of Christmas’.

Booking for the Singalongs is essential. No tickets are available at the door. Bookings are now open for the June 21 singalong.

You can book via the Little Village Theatre's email: ourlittlevillagetheatre@gmail.com or by calling Moira on 0409 026 145.
