Call out for thrill-seekers to join Skydiving Santas for a cause

If you’ve ever dreamed of skydiving – or just want to do something unforgettable for a good cause – now’s your chance to become one of this year’s Skydiving Santas.

Wandi Nerida, Australia’s first residential treatment centre for people affected by eating disorders, has teamed up with Skydive Noosa for the “Skydiving Santas, Wishes for Wandi” fundraiser on Saturday November 29.

Organisers are calling for 28 brave locals to take the leap from 15,000 feet and raise at least $250 each to support Wandi’s life-saving programs. “Become a Skydiving Santa and help us turn wishes into wellness,” said Fundraising Coordinator, Joanne Schoenwald. “Add a touch – or a lot – of Aussie Christmas to your jump, from surfing koala t-shirts to beach Santa boardshorts. It’s all about having fun while doing something that really matters.”

Spectators can cheer on the Santas as they land at Stumers Creek parkland, and visit Wandi Nerida at their gazebo for a community sausage sizzle or cake stall item.

The “Skydiving Santas, Wishes for Wandi” event takes place Saturday November 29 at Stumers Creek, Coolum. Sign-ups are open now at  https://skydiving-santas2.raiselysite.com/. For details, contact Joanne Schoenwald on (07) 2103 4680 or enquiries@wandinerida.org.au.
