Sundale Christmas carols return to spark festive magic

The highly anticipated Sundale Community Christmas Carols are returning for another magical evening bursting with festive fun, Christmas cheer, and family-friendly entertainment on Friday December 4 at 35 Doolan Street, Nambour.

Local families are invited to gather their family and friends to sing along to classic Christmas carols, dance under the stars, and enjoy live performances from talented local artists. This year’s musical lineup is headlined by the fabulous Idol Family, JaZZ, Chris and Jinja, and Marshall Hamburger.

Sundale CEO Cameron Taylor said the Sundale team was thrilled to welcome the community back for what has become a hallmark event on the local calendar.

"Our entire team is so excited to be hosting this much-loved event once again," Mr Taylor said. "It is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season right in our own backyard, surrounded by our wonderful community. This year, our guests can expect a family-friendly evening filled with free activities, vibrant local entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display. It is a fantastic way to wrap up the year and celebrate together."

The event truly offers something for everyone, featuring free amusement rides, a hands-on animal farm, pony rides, face painting, and balloon artists alongside plenty of festive surprises.

New to the festivities this year is the Santa Zone, open between 4.00pm and 7.30pm, where every child will receive a special gift directly from Santa. While Santa is scheduled to make a special appearance on the main stage at 5.30pm, families are welcome to visit him in the zone at any time during the evening to collect their gift and say hello.

To ensure Santa packs enough presents for every child, organizers are requesting that families register for their free tickets in advance.

Attendees won't go hungry either, with a fantastic range of local food trucks serving up delicious meals, snacks, and sweet treats to suit every taste and budget.

As the evening draws to a close, the sky will light up with a spectacular Christmas-themed fireworks display at 8.00pm, providing the perfect finale to a wonderful night of community celebration. Community members are encouraged to pack a picnic blanket or chair, throw on their best festive gear, and join in for a joyous evening of music, laughter, and Christmas magic.

Important Event Information:
• Tickets: Admission is free, but registration is essential to secure children's gifts from The Santa Zone.
• Parking: There is no parking available on site. Attendees are requested to park in the surrounding streets.
• Transport: A dedicated Sundale Christmas Bus will be operating throughout the event. The bus will run every 20 minutes from Nambour Train Station and every 30 minutes from Burnside High School.

Thousands of local families gathered to enjoy the festive atmosphere at last year's Community Christmas Carols.
