High-octane action coming to Nambour Showgrounds

Over 100 drivers will tackle a custom, purpose-built 1.1 kilometre track engineered specifically for this weekend.

The Sunshine Coast Motor Sports Club (SCMSC) has announced that entry to its highly anticipated, two-day annual Sprint event will be just $10 per person, offering affordable, high-octane entertainment for the whole community.

Taking over the Nambour Showgrounds on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August 2026, the event is a must-watch for anyone who loves live car racing action. For a single $10 entry fee per day, spectators gain full access to an action-packed schedule of grassroots motorsport.

Over 100 drivers will tackle a custom, purpose-built 1.1 kilometre track engineered specifically for this weekend. The challenging circuit features dramatic elevation changes, sharp chicanes, unforgiving tight turns and high-speed sweepers designed to push a dynamic mix of locally-built and exotic race cars to their absolute limits.

“We wanted to make sure this incredible live motorsport experience is accessible to everyone,” said an SCMSC representative. “For just $10, fans can get right up to the trackside fence, feel the rumble of the V8s, and check out some incredible machinery. It is the perfect weekend out for families and die-hard race car fans alike.”

Gates open to the public at 9am on both days. Alongside the non-stop track action, attendees can enjoy local food trucks, trade displays, and open pit lane walks to see all the cars and talk to the drivers up close.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate. For event updates, competitor lists and schedules, visit the official SCMSC Facebook and Instagram pages or visit their Website www.sunshinecoastmotorsportclub.com.au
